The PxPlus
ODBC driver delivers third party access to PxPlus data.
It enables any ODBC-compliant application on any Windows
platform to communicate with your PxPlus database from
any location on the network. There are currently, two PxPlus ODBC
installation types available:
- Local
driver version (read only and read/write
capabilities).
- Client/Server
version (TCP-based, part of the
Professional or eCommerce bundle).
The ODBC driver is
available separately from the base PxPlus installation
and requires a separate license, installation file, and
activation procedure. Contact your dealer/distributor or
visit the PxPlus website at
www.pvxplus.com. for the latest
information on ODBC product options and licensing.
This document discusses
the basic concepts and features of the PxPlus ODBC driver. It
covers installation and configuration procedures for both
local driver and client-server
versions, defining/accessing data files, and use of the
ODBC driver to access PxPlus data from other languages
and applications.
