This section describes the ProvideX features that allow the programmer or analyst to enhance the appearance and functionality of a text mode application. It discusses features such as Hot-keys, built-in Help and Queries, Mouse interface, device drivers and other such material.

Most of the features discussed in the in this chapter can be added to existing applications with a minimum of effort. For the most part these features can be implemented fully with no changes to the application source code.

If you are converting an existing application to ProvideX from some other language, the functionality described in this chapter will greatly enhance the applications functionality and appearance.
