NOMADS Run-Time Utilities

NOMADS provides application developers with several run-time utilities that can be easily accessed while processing a panel in the NOMADS environment.

These run-time utilities include a Debug window, a Macro scripting tool, a run-time Panel/Program Editor, a run-time Logging of Events and a program Trace utility. The following links provide additional information:

Utility

Description

NOMADS Debug Window

Pressing CTRL - F11 while processing a panel in the NOMADS environment stops the processing and invokes the Command mode in a debug window.

NOMADS Macros

A simple scripting tool that records macros consisting of keystrokes entered while processing a panel in a NOMADS run-time environment and plays back recorded macros on demand.

NOMADS Panel/Program Editor

When processing a panel in the NOMADS environment, the Panel/Program Editor allows you to edit the currently displayed panel(s) and the associated default program(s).

NOMADS Run-Time Events Logging

Logs key events to a log file such as displaying and exiting panels, generating CTL values and processing panel logic. The events are stamped with the date, time and user ID.

NOMADS Trace

Creates a program trace file of the logic being executed in the NOMADS environment.
